History of Epiphany Station

We have moved around town quite a bit since 2006, which has always emphasized to us that church is people, not a building.

July 16, 2006

Epiphany Station begins in the home of Kevin and Carol Brown in Thief River Falls, MN, with a gathering of 20 people. Starts with weekly Sunday evening worship services and a once-a-month outreach event, featuring the band "The Way".

September 10, 2006

Renting space at 115 3rd Street E. First worship church service in TRF draws a record crowd of 36 people.

October 2006

Renting the Heritage Center in TRF for church on Sunday evenings

October 26, 2007

Formally recognized as a church in TRF in the Minnesota Baptist Conference and Baptist General Conference (now called Converge).

November 11, 2007

First Sunday at the "Station" (former Roger's Conoco Gas Station) with 50 attendees. Church in Thief River Falls, MN.

July 7, 2008

Jeff Gauss becomes Lead Pastor.

April 2014

Purchased house at 415 Main Ave N (directly north of the gas station) to use as an office and meeting space.

August 2014

Purchased the Bakery Outlet between the gas station and office building to make way for a new children's space and an overflow worship space.

Easters 2015–2017

Worship services held at Ralph Engelstad Arena to accommodate crowds of 500-600 people.

April 3, 2016–October 29, 2017

Services are held at Falls Cinema during demolition of gas station, bread store, and house to make way for construction of new building at 403 Main St N.

May 1, 2016

Jeff Gauss hands off Lead Pastorship to Matty Towse.

September 11, 2016

Grand City Station, our first daughter church, launches in Grand Forks, ND, led by Jeff Gauss.

February 2017

First Baptist Church on 414 Horace Ave officially merges with Epiphany Station, paving the way for the facility to become Elevate NextGen.

November 12, 2017

First Sunday at our custom-built building at 403 Main St N. with 397 attendees.
